Let's have some REAL fun!

First, I have to say thank you to all of you that responded to my last post. I was, at first, a little apprehensive about blogging about a colonoscopy but figured hey, if I can help maybe one person get over the trepidation they feel for having to do it, it'll be worth it. And, it was! In addition to all the blog comments, I got quite a few emails from folks that said they were going to make their appointment, that they appreciated the reminder and the humor behind (no pun intended) my experience and that I helped to make it easier for them. I'm glad of that. Now, moving on....

I picked up Elizabeth Savilles from Hobby Lobby yesterday. I had picked what I thought was a perfect frame (which was not the one I thought it was going to be) at the "new" framer I had found. When the owner was writing up the order I said to him, "Now remember, I want you to give me the "We want Terri to come back to our store for all her framing needs price." I guess he didn't realize how much I get framed (although I tried to tell him) because the price he quoted me was $318.00 (before tax). What? Uh, no. Not gonna do it. So, I left and went to Joann's where Cathy does great work for me. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a single frame that I liked. Not one. So... off to HL I went. Their frame selection is minimal but I found something I thought would work and when the gal wrote it up, the total was $83 (pre tax) so I'm learning to love the frame. What do you think (you can click on the pic to enlarge the picture):

The frame is more silver but has a faint hint of green and with the leaf shape in the frame I thought it mimicked the border of the sampler pretty well.

Sandra, your last comment was that you'd changed your mind and thought it might need a greenish frame. When I read your note I laughed 'cause that's exactly what I had already picked. This doesn't show the green cast too well but it's there and I think, quite pretty. Also, I had mentioned when I finished this that I had stitched it on 32 count fabric but it was in fact, stitched on 36 count magnolia which I tried to stain with raspberry tea that looked really pretty initially but the color didn't hold.

Now for the FUN! My very first blog post was on February 10th, 2009 which you can read here:I can't get the link to work for some reason... Anyway, at that time, I never imagined that I'd get to know so many wonderful people and that many of them would become friends. The most amazing thing to me has been that anyone would actually read what I wrote about and then take the time to comment - how GREAT is that? I've always been the kind of gal that looks confident on the outside but inside I'm really not. I'm always afraid that if I throw a party, nobody will come so imagine my trepidation with starting a blog and putting it out there for the world - yikes! Anyway, it's been a year of wonderful! Wonderful friendships made, wonderful stories shared, I've gotten wonderful inspiration from all of you and I've had one heck of a wonderful time. Now, it's my turn to give something to you. The first finish that I blogged about was a The Goode Huswife A&E chart that I just loved. It is still one of my favorite finishes. I thought some of you might like to do it as well. So, that, along with a few other charts that I have stitched (plus one I haven't) and a pretty Longaberger basket that will be filled with stitching goodies is up for grabs.

The rules are simple. You do not have to be a follower - just a reader. You do not have to have a blog. You do not have to do a single thing except tell me that you'd like to win and what you're all time favorite finish is as a cross stitcher (I'm hoping to discover something new and wonderful). If you are not a cross stitcher, I would love it if you would tell me about something you've created that you loved. Everyone will get only one chance. I can't try to keep track of multiple entries so I'm not going there. I will draw a winner next Friday (March 5th) and will try (TRY being the operative word) to get it mailed that Saturday, March 6th. This is open to anyone - it's an international party! I will have a second draw for a smaller prize which will remain a secret.
I will mail, and will insure your package but if it never arrives, it won't be replaced. I don't have two of any of the things being given away. If you are not a stitcher and don't want the charts, let me know and I'll draw again for those so they go to someone who would like them. Make it easy for me to find you - I will not work at tracking you down. If you don't leave me an email address or respond to my "You're the Winner" post, after a couple of days, you'll be out of luck and I'll redraw. Sorry to sound harsh but just being real! You can share this if you want to but if you really want to win, why would you? ~LOL~ I swear, I crack myself up (granted, it doesn't take much).

Thanks so much for all the comments you all leave me. They really make my day! I think there are readers out there that never leave a comment (that is okay) so this will be fun to see if you really are out there. Remember, if you don't have a blog, or a google account, you can enter using the "anonymous" feature. If you do that, be sure to leave me your name and your email addy. You may only enter by leaving a comment on this post - no email entries accepted. Good luck and thanks so much for one FUN year!

Peace,
Terri

Oh wow! Of course I would like a chance to win such a great basket of goodies! Congrats on your year anniversary!

I'm not one to really pick favorites - I have too many things that I like. I guess two that stand out for me are hanging in my dining room - they are by the City Stitcher (don't know if they are still around, but I do have the patterns!). I think one was called Willow House - and I can't think off hand what the other one is.

The frame you chose works great with that piece! Love it!

Hi Terri! Please enter me in your drawing. I think my favorite finish was my first biscornu--it was tiny, about the size of a half dollar and I could barely see to get it sewn up. It was by Fancy Works, I think.

Happy Blogathingy Terri! I have to admit that, given your previous post, when I saw this one with the reference to "some REAL fun" I cringed a bit...but anyway, please enter me. I freely admit I have no favorite finish and hope this does not disqualify me!

Terri, enjoy your blog. What a great giveaway. Count me in. It's hard to pick favorites, but at the moment I am on a Blackbird kick. I have finished many of their pincushions, project book and samplers. Congrats on your first anniversary and many more.

I think that frame looks lovely...your finish is beautiful.
Please enter me in your giveaway...I have stitched lots of things that I really like, but one of my favorite finishes was a Celtic designed needleroll that I stitched for an exchange. There was a lot of stitching involved and it was one of my first needlerolls and I was really pleased with the way it turned out
And thanks for sharing your thoughts on your blog. I always enjoy reading it.

Thanks for writing such wonderful blog entries, Terri!

Happy 1 year blog anniversary!

PS Picking one piece is so hard. Let's just say one of my favorites is The Apple and The Oak by BrightNeedle.

Hi -- Happy Blog-iversary! I am one of those readers who rarely comments, but I just love your new framed piece. Gorgeous sampler. And I would love to win some or all of your prize. Some of my favorite finished pieces are designs by Linda of Chessie & Me fame. Her samplers look old -- but are manageable in size. I also love Blackbird designs and can't wait to get their new book in my hot little hands -- hopefully tomorrow.

What a wonderful piece and I absolutely love the frame. It was a great choice. I would love to enter your generous giveaway. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE all the charts. I think my favorite finish of all time is "Love Letters" by Blackbird Designs from "A Fine Collection". I finished it quite a few years ago and I continue to hang it all year long. Congrats on the one blogaversary. Pam A

I'd love to be entered into your very generous giveaway!
As for a favourite looking at my wall just now it has to be 'Be of Kind Heart' i completed ages ago (i think it's a Pat Rogers design but wouldn't swear to it!)

Have a great weekend!

The frame you selected is perfect -- and definitely a better deal than the $300+ frame. Congratulations on your blog's 1-year mark. Here's looking forward to the next year!

My favorite finish is any one that doesn't have backstitching. Don't ask me why I like making little X's but don't like making little backstitches. But seriously, I remember being thrilled when I finished the Happy Hearts Sampler
by Birds of a Feather. I was looking at it the other day and realized that I never filled in the background for one of the number squares at the bottom of the design. But it's so hard to tell because the fabric color and the floss color were identical! So technically I guess it isn't finished.

Elizabeth is just beautiful and what a lovely frame for it! I always hate it when the camera doesn't pick up colors like they should.

Oh yes, please throw my name in the hat for the drawing! How much fun and how sweet of you! I love the GH Adam and Eve and have been wanting to get it. Do you want my favorite finish or my finish of yours? Well, I love everything I see you do! (schmmmmmmm - that's me kissing up) and so far I am liking my finish of My Home is Built in Glory alot.

Great blog post! My favourite finish is a Linda Meyers design Quilt Sampler IV which is an interpretation of the Dear jane Quilt....it was a joy to stitch..and one day I plan to make the quilt!

Elizabeth Saville looks spectacular! Congratulations on finding a frame that's lovely AND affordable!

Happy one year blogoversary! As tempting as it is to enter the giveaway I will pass as I have 3 out of 4 of those charts.

It is difficult to choose just one favourite but I think it would have to be the BOAF Happy Hearts Sampler that you are showing it. It was my first "big" sampler and I felt it was a really big accomplishment!

Here's to another great hear visiting your blog!

What a wonderful contest! Thanks for the opportunity to enter.

My all time favorite cross stitch finish is The Token. I used to get together quite frequently with several stitchers and made that my 'stitch together' piece. Once I finished the designed I stitched at the bottom "Stitched by (my first maiden last name) while in the company of ... then I added every stitcher's first and last name who I had been around while I was stitching it. I even included my puppies' names, and the name of one of the stitcher's little boy, since they had been present as well. It is going to be framed this year...finally!

What a GREAT giveaway Terri - please do enter me - None of my stitched finishes are as special to me as my hooked mermaid (you see her tail on my blog and as my avatar) hope that qualifies as a "fave" - Oh and do leave Deb out as I would be very suspicious if she won LOL - I love the frame you found for Elizabeth - Framing can get SO expensive - I have a Mirabilia mermaid my dad finished that I have been sitting on for 6 mos because I dread the framing bill. Congrats on your year of blogging and thanks for providing such wonderful blog fodder for us not to mention the inspiration and friendship - Cheers! Mel

Lovely frame! Looks perfect with that piece.

Let's see: my favourite so far has to be Dimension's In Harmony. Closely followed by Mirabilia's Mermaids of the Deep Blue.

Congrats on one year, and please enter me in your giveaway~

Terri, I think the frame you picked for Elizabeth works really well! It certainly echoes the green tones of the sampler and the shapes in the border - great job!

I'd love to enter your giveaway please :) I think my all-time favourite piece has got to be my neighbourhood that I stitched last year (which is kind of cheating, as it's several pieces in one, but still ;) ). Happy Blogaversary!

Hi Terri, how's the marker wearing off for ya? I would love to be involved with your wonderful draw. For me to pic my all time favorite piece is extremely difficult since I have to love what I stitch but if I really had to get only one piece out of a burning house I really think it would be my Smokey Mountain Christmas(pic on my blog)but I would have to trip over all of the loons and eagles and snowmen to get to that one piece. Oh well, if I couldn't get out of the burning inferno, I would go down with all of my favorite things in life. Have a fun time with your draw and your choice of frame turned out nicely and for the price you did well. Have you ever stretched your own work coz you would save even more...
Be always in stitches.

Terri, your framed finish is so lovely--so cute how you photographed it in the snow, too!

My favorite finish is LHN's Nature's Beauty sampler (one that I actually got around to framing for a change!!). I'd love to be entered into your giveaway.

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary!

You've actually got my stash there, and looked through it to find some charts that I absolutely love but do not have. Admit it! That's why the silly movers are now a month late delivering our belongings! ;)

Please enter me. I will keep my fingers crossed till you do the drawing, with the exception of: bread kneading, cross stitching, and diaper changing (eeuw - don't even go there!). LOL.

I happen to really love your frame, at any price. But wowsers, 300+ bucks to frame a piece! I think I'd have either fainted or started laughing.

Annie said...

The framed piece looks lovely. (Hope the snow didn't make any hand-dyed fibers run!).

Congrats on your blogaversary. Your contest looks great, but I'll sit this out and leave it for contenders who are really chomping at the bit for those charts and the basket.

What a fun giveaway! Please consider me too in the draw. It's hard to pick a favourite, but it's probably Indigo Rose's Catherine Agnes - which in fact is mostly specialty stitches (lots of them) and very little cross stitch, lol.

Beautiful framing job on ES!

I would love to win your wonderful prize. Even if I don't, I do enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work. I am primarily a quilter but do some cross stitch. I have been working on a very large sampler since 1986...do you suppose I will ever finish it?

Happy blogaversary~~ I've been secretly admiring your work for a while and your giveaway is just too great for me to pass by. I would love to enter for your giveaway, please.

I haven't been stitching too long and being such a slow stitcher, every piece I finished is an accomplishment to me!!! So it is so difficult to pick one favorite. I've just finished stitching BOAF's Friendship Sampler and it was a blast!!! So I will have to say it is my favorite for now~~~ :-)

Thank you for this wonderful giveaway!!!!

Happy Blogiversary Terri!!! I am so happy I found your blog and have come to know you through it. I really like your frame, but how did you dare set it in the snow for a picture???? You scared me when I saw this.....maybe I am just paranoid. Anyway, I have lots of fun things I would call "favorites", but if I chose just one, this is a hard one, it would be "Knowledge Is Power" by Anne Powell. I stitched in yummy shades of plum and gold. It's a really beautiful piece, and I love the saying.

Please enter me in your wonderful giveaway, I would love to stitch the A&E!!!!! Thanks for offering us a fun giveaway. Have a great weekend!

I really like the frame...I think it suits! I have a regular framer (who frames for the LNS) but have thought about giving HL a try since they are a block from home. Based on what you paid, it doesn't sound like they would be much cheaper.
Oh well... I would love to be entered in your giveaway. I love reading your blog and think you have a wonderful sense of humor!

My favorite stitch has to be Linda Spivey's "Time for Everything" stitched in 1998. Ironically, I didn't backstitch a small section of the border and realized it well after it was framed. I like it like that since it means I never really "finished" it.

First of all, let me say that I love the frame you chose for your sampler. I think it's perfect! And think of all the other frames you can buy with what you saved. (Better get busy and stitch some more . . .)

You don't have to enter me in your drawing, because I've already stitched two of the four charts (great taste you have there). But I will say that my favorite finish is a 2-foot by 3-foot wall hanging of one of the Prairie Schooler patterns. It hangs in a place of honor over my fireplace (my blog entry for 11/9/07, if you're interested).

Happy blogiversary, Terri!!

I just love your sampler frame. You did good not to spend the 300 bucks...too dang much! I can't believe you've only blogged for a year...I'd of thought you'd been at it since the beginning of time!

Andrea said...

What a perfect frame Terri! I love it! I can't believe HL and your Joann's do needlework framing so well! Do you know how they mount it to the foam core? I know my LNS uses pins, but some prefer lacing, but I've always been told never take anything to Michaels or HL, etc. cause they use the sticky board. I'm sure some folks don't mind either way, but I'm just curious!

You're extremely funny (but you already know that) and lovely and warm and (I'm guessing) cuddly and I hope you keep blogging for many more years to come.

Oh and yes, I would like a chance to win those goodies :o)

Sandra said...

Terri, I love the frame you have finally chosen and when I look at the small picture my eye is drawn first to the sampler and then to the frame which is just as it should be. Then when I click and enlarge the photo I can see that the frame suits the thread colour perfectly. I was choosing a frame on Thursday as it happens and I was telling the framer about that snazzy gold thing you had first selected and she agreed that the frame, although nice, should not be too nice, so that it doesn't detract from the stitching.

I would love to be included in your draw please. I think my favourite finishing is when I stitch smalls and a band to fit inside a shaker box.

My favorite piece of finishing is a CA Wells Mermaid bag, when I did the class I thought I would never be able to do this, but it was surprisingly easy with four sided stitches on all sides and bingo you can just sew it together, it opened my world to finishing.

Thanks for entering me.

Susan said...

Terri, Elizabeth looks beautiful in that frame. It definitely sets off the greens in the sampler.

Congratulations on your blogaversary! Please enter me in the drawing--I was just thinking yesterday that I *need* a basket to hold my small quilting tools (heehee). My favorite cross stitch finish hangs in my kitchen. It's the Lily Sampler by Amaryllis Artworks, probably OOP by now. I love it because it's sort of a play on my name since Susan means 'lily' in Hebrew, but more so because the verse, 'Consider the lilies. . .' is something I need to be reminded of every day.

Looking forward to another year of your blog!

Love the frame you selected! I enjoy each piece I stitch because of the different reasons why I am stitching it for...i.e.Footprints for my son who is a minister...

Your sampler is gorgeous, and I think your choice of frame enhances it really well. Congratulations on your finish!

I have enjoyed your blog very much. Please enter my name in your give away.

The frame looks great and that price is great too! Congratulations on your first anniversary! I keep thinking of myself as a 'newbie' but then I sat and thought about it and realised 4 months have already passed so I'm not that much of a newbie anymore!! I know how much I'm loving blogging having initially been very hesitant at putting myself 'out there'. It was definitely one of the best things I've done.

I'd love to be entered in your giveaway. My favourite piece I've stitched. That's a tough one!!! One of my favourites is SB's Blackbery Sampler. I've the Jill Rensel mats and probably it's the mats I love as much as the stitching!

Myra said...

I think the frame suits it perfectly. Love the colors! I would love to be entered in your giveaway. I love cross stitch but quilting was my first love so I would have to say the Roosting Robin quilt is one of my favorite finishes. I just recently started reading your blog but I am looking forward to many more wonderful posts.

First off, I love the frame! It's amazing the difference in price for framing, that's for sure! Is Elizabeth really big or something? That's the only justification for the $318 price tag! She doesn't look overly big to me though!

Thanks for the giveaway!!! Please include me! I need to check when my blogoversary is. Mine is coming up too!

It may be because I just picked it up from the framer, but I think my favorite piece that I've stitched is Rebecca Robinson from Scarlet Letter. Either that or Charlotte Clayton from the Northwest Sampler Guild (the one that used to be in my header pic). Those are my two standouts!

Tammy said...

Your piece turned out great and love the frame.

I haven't started my own blog yet but am really getting inspired by all the ones I read.

I would love to be entered into your wonderful giveaway as well.

I'd have to say right now my favorite finished piece would be the Art of Disney Self Portrait. It had been a WIP for a long time so it felt great to get it finished. I still need to wash and frame it but at least the stitching is completed.

Happy Anniversary to your blog!!

Roberta said...

Happy Anniversary with Blogland, Terri.

I do love the frame you chose and I have a similar one on one of my samplers.

As for favorite - I love my Beatrix Potter reproduction sampler and my adaptation of the Drawn Thread's Real Roses.

I love Longenberger Baskets and even have been to the factory for the tour.

So please definitely enter me in your drawing.

Have a great weekend -- Roberta

Your framed piece came out beautifully!

Please enter me into your wonderful contest. My favorite finish - well, I too a Praire Schooler design and finished as a needlebook for an exchange piece. I thought that would be something useful. I loved it so much that I almost kept it :) But it warms my heart that the peron who received it was honored to have it.

Take care - my fingers are crossed for the lovelies you are giving away. Happy Blog-o-versary!

Hi Terri, I suppose I'm a 'lurker' far,far away in France. I follow your blog avidly and love seeing your finishes and reading about your 'adventures' (especially the last one!)
Favourite finish? Oh, that's hard ..... possibly Album, a class piece designed by Lauren Sauer of Forget Me Nots in Stitches. It's the most wonderful design.
I'd love to enter your giveaway, s'il vous plait!

And, of course I want to enter your giveaway! :) You are a very generous lady, Terri!

Hmmm... I don't have very many finishes to choose from, but... I think my favorite finish(es) are Mr. & Mrs. Abbott - stitching and framing. I just LOVE them. :)

Hi Terri,

I love this sweet finish and I think the frame is perfect. To me it's kind of old fashioned looking and the leaves and hint of green complement the stitching...pretty, pretty.

Congratulations on your blog anniversary and wishing you many more fun blogging times. Please include me in your generous gift away. I always say my latest finish is my favorite:)...not that I have so many...but right now I'd say Moonlight Garden by Blackbird Designs.

Happy stitching...hugs, Linda

Hi Terri! I had to stop in and tell you of one of my favorite finishes...I combine patchwork and the stitched piece to fit a frame otherwise too large to make it more unique also. It is a fun way to finish stitching. I would love to enter your giveaway too.

Congratulations Terri, on your year of blogging and for the beautiful finish on ES. The frame is perfect and gives a very gentle, soft look. I would love to enter your draw and as for my favourite all time finish...that is a hard one but I think what I am working on at any given time is probably my favourite for a at least a short time anyway until I move onto something else!! Love reading your blog and seeing your beautiful work.

Love the frame! I think that the frame compliments the gorgeous stitching fabulously. :)

I would love to enter your great giveaway!!!!

My favorite finish is L&L The Wedding. I stitched it right before I got married personalized with my wedding details. It was displayed at my wedding on the table with the guest book and now hangs in my home. :) Not one that I would stitch again, but I do still love it.

Dear Terri,
I am an every entry reader to your blog and I love it very much.
Sometimes I have to read twice or three times, because my English is a little bit simple, but I want to know what you will say. (The last entry of your doctor visit was very interesting.)
Yes, I would like to have a chance to win your giveaway.
My favorite finishes (they are two)
are two small and long tablecloths
(tablerunner?) with wonderful designs from acufactum ,Germany. (You have to look to their homepage !) One was with beautyful hearts as flowers and the other was with birds and flowers.
They were presents from me to my girls, when they had their Konfirmation days. With little letters I added the names, the day of Konfirmation and one verse from the bible.
I also plan to to this for my son, but he doesn´t like tableclothes. Once he saw a chart from The Sampler Company and he said he likes it very much. So, we will see...

I really like the frame on your piece - good choice.

Happy Blogaversary Terri Please enter me in your lovely giveaway.
What a beautiful frame you chose - and then you went and put it in the snow??!!
I think my all time favourite finish was a needlebook in Schwalm Embroidery - I can still remember the huge sigh of relief when the last stitch went in and I vowed both publically and privately never to try that type of stitching again! But now I use the needlebook everyday and love it!

Your blog is so interesting - I will no longer lurk but read and comment!

Oh Elizabeth your blog is wonderful. I love your pattern and the frame really goes well with it. I am new to cross s titching so I am workin on my first piece and am loving it. I have quilted and beaded and crocheted but about a yr ago I started crazyquilting and I have to say that it is my all time favorite. I have done sort of like a bell pull with cq blocks depicting my son and daughter in a silkie and the family for the center block. I am most proud of that to date. But getting into cross stitching I can see some beautiful stuff there too coming my way.
I would feel honored to win one of your patterns so please add me to the hat. Thank you

I would love to win your wonderful giveaway ~ have recently come back to cross stitching after years of just hooking rugs...of course my eyes are now giving me fits...even with 3x cheater glasses...

My favorite finish is a sampler from The City Stitcher...pumpkin colored house with huge sunflowers on either side...a wonderful sampler...my sister has it and I keep trying to convince her she's tired of it so I can "borrow" it...probably did it 20 or so years ago and still ove it...

Pam said...

The frame looks great with your finished stitching. I agree that a frame with a green-ish finish was a good choice!

Please enter me in your giveaway. My favorite finish as a cross stitcher? Well, there are several, actually. I guess one of my favorites it the quilt that I made for my niece. She is adopted from China and I made three panels with her her name in Chinese characters. It was the first quilt that I made and my niece, now 6, still makes her mother keep it on her bed.

Ohmigosh! What a super and generous giveaway. One of the charts is one I NEED, really NEED! I just recently found your blog (linked from BBD -- aren't they the best -- have you gotten the new book and patterns yet?), and it's become one of my favorites. I have two favorite finishes (finished years ago, not sure I have the names exactly correct): The Plantation Sampler and Anne or Nancy ??? Hayward or something similar to that! They're both large. Oh, and did I say I also collect Longaberger baskets!!!! Thanks!

I've enjoyed your blog since I started reading it several months ago. The name of your blog is what caught my attention, but I also love your sense of humor.

Your new framed artwork is gorgeous and it's really striking sitting there in the snow...great photo.

But hopefully you will enter me in your wonderful drawing...and then I can add some more finishes to my works.

Happy, happy bloggyversary! Good for you. I can't remember when I first found your blog, and even if I don't visit as often as I'd like to, I love visiting. I'd love to win your fabulous prizes, but if I don't, I'll be happy for anyone who does win. Why is it so much fun to watch other people win something?

My favorite finish is probably ATS. It's nothing new, but it was wonderful to finally finish it!

Love the frame, Terri. I think it compliments your piece wonderfully! Finding a decent priced framer is a challenge, for sure.

I would like to enter your giveaway. My favorite finish, while it's been hard to choose, would be "Deftly Wrought" by Midsummer Night Designs. The 4 little samplers at the top were done over 1 and while they were a challenge, they really make the piece. I also changed out the colors a bit to make them more "me".

Thanks for the chance!

Gorgeous!!! I've been working on a very large cross stitch of Fruit and Flowers that was produced through Scarlet Quince. It may take me my entire life to complete (and I have both projects)! Because of their detail and size, I would probably finish them with antique gold frames, but I may change my mind when they are ready in 50 years :)

Please enter me in your giveaway. I am going to follow your blog because I love it!!! And, I'm going to put your giveaway on my blog because I think more people should be sent your way to see what you are up to :)

I am fairly new to cross stitching-my favorite finish is Beneath the Sunlit Sky-I love the colors in it.
I have done the Happy Hearts Sampler in needlepoint and that is a favorite, too.
BTW, I work in a hospital and my office is next to the GI lab. I thought of posting your colonoscopy entry in the waiting room!

Okay, I thought it was a perfect match the moment I saw it but to be honest, my VERY first reaction was...I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE HAS IT IN THE SNOW!!!! LOL!

It sounds like we have the same wicked sense of humor Terri. I'll have to read your previous post.

I would LOVE to be in your giveaway. I've never owned one of those baskets before!

My finishes always depend on what I'm stitching. For large pieces, always framing. For smaller pieces, it would be a tie between the pinkeep and the cube :o) Both are so easy to do.

Well since your ticket was purchased just after mine (or before) at Kindred Spirits - and you won...not me - I would like to enter your drawing - those circumstances could be good luck, could they not!

Enter me in your drawing, Terrie - my favorite finish - well, let's see - there are a few...Constant Friend box I made for Mary @ Cmas (although the finishing was a bitch!) and then let's see - BBD - Christmas one - can't think of the name - it's on cranberry linen...and then I guess so many others too many to name would follow (and most are not finished - just done stitching and in a pile!) Now, if I win, (scratch that) when I win you can email me at sherharv@yahoo.com....oh yeah, my K.S. basket is in the top 10 or so of fav finshes!

Elizabeth looks magnificent in her frame - I can't believe you put her in the snow though! I have loved her since I clapped eyes on her on your blog a couple of weeks back. That was when I found your blog and I love it, keep up the good work. Don't put me in the draw because it would cost an arm and a leg for postage to Australia, I am quite happy to come back and drool over Elizabeth every now and then.

I know it's too late to enter your drawing and that's OK (I'm behind in my blog reading). I just wanted to comment on your nice framing finish. I was about to go to the local framer's to have something done and now I am scared! $318??? Yikes! I don't want to be embarrassed and have to tell them I can't afford it. So I may end up going to Michael's tonight armed with my 60% off coupon and give them a try. The charts you are giving away are right up my alley. Love them!

I love your new finished piece. I wish I had a few more things to take to my framer. She is about 40miles from my house but she is the best in the area. I try to take several pieces at one time. My newest favorite framed project is Blackbird Designs Loose Feathers #24,Their Song. Janice, my framing guru, had a piece of a Larson Juhls beaded frame that she gave me at a great price. It is black with red undertones and I love it. I collect crows so this was such a joy to stitch and to see framed.

If you have not drawn a winner, please add me to the drawing.
