Dear
friends,
It has been quite a while, hasn’t it? My life has been a whirlwind of activity for
the last year and a half (can it really be that long) and I have missed you,
and blogging. I got away from blogging
for a while – Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other media outlets are so much
easier and faster but they are less personal and certainly less gratifying. Besides, most of my family could care less
about my stitching, antiquing or estate sale adventures and I need to share
those aspects of my life with other likeminded souls. So here goes, I’m jumping back in and hoping
you’re still here and interested.
I've stitched a lot since last we met so
let me show you something I just picked up from the framer.
This is Susan Rambo Sampler. She's a bold, beautifully colored sampler and I chose a frame as sassy and bold and intense as she. I loved how the bright red frame made the colors on Susan pop. I think it's a nice juxtaposition of modern with the old. I'm sure it won't appeal to everyone, but I kind of love it.
I also got this sweet little La D Da piece back, too. I liked how the swirls in the frame mimicked the swirls under the ark.
I have also been hitting estate sales when I can and have found some fun treasures. This weekend was a couple of boxes of vintage ornaments. I love when I find the bigger ones! Aren't they pretty? They'll look great on my tree with all the othe vintage ornaments. Anyone else love these as much as I do?
But for today, only one more thing to shoe you. I got this
cupboard from a guy at work that was moving to Florida. His mom had been an antique dealer in Kentucky but he no
longer wanted it so for a very decent price, I was able to bring it home. It’s perfect in all its imperfections and I
just love it. On top are some of my Beatrix Potter treasure gifts from a friend, old glass in the form of an ancient purple bottle and a couple of frogs, one of them (the cool irredescent one) from a dear friend, and a Liberty Hill sewing box I got in VA Beach at the Dyeing to Stitch Spring retreat. I'll be changing this all out soon to start making way for the big decorating time... Christmas! I can hardly wait.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time, I wish you Peace,
Terri

Welcome back-missed you
First, welcome back! You have been missed especially since I don't do FB or the other social media. I love the cabinet you snagged. Susan Rambo looks fabulous in her red frame and I really like the swirls in the molding for the La D Da piece. Go Terri!
Thinking of you!

Yes, it so much quicker to post else where, but love to see you back to blogging. Maybe you can push me back:)
Your stitching is beautiful and what a perfect frame!
I collect old ornaments too and fortunate to have some from my trees that are over 50 years old. Why do people let go of these lovely ornaments?
Have a lovely day! Joy
Hi Terrie,
What a nice surprise to see that you posted to your blog again. I have missed reading about your adventures. I am in awe of your Susan Rambo. Absolutely gorgeous!! Love the bright frame; it certainly makes make the sampler pop. I think the swirly frame for the La D Da piece is perfect too. Grreat choices and beautiful finishes! Hope you bring those to the next guild meeting.

Nice to see you blogging again! I ADORE the sampler...you're right--the red frame is perfect for it. I also love the La-D-Da piece. (I have that one in my stash waiting to be stitched someday.)

Hey Teri. nice to find you're back at it! Susan Rambo is a real show stopper, especially with the red frame. Love it!
Gorgeous stitching as always Terri! The sassy red framet is perfect!
As is the new cabinet and all of your ornament finds. I hope you will bring Susan to the guild meeting in October because I won't make it to September's meeting. There, you've been warned!

Congrats on such beautiful finished pieces! That cupboard is to die for ~ Lucky you!
YAY! You're back :) It has definitely been a different world around blogland with all who have left for the ease of FB and Instagram, but I am happy some of you are returning. All seem to think blogging is more personal and I couldn't agree more.
Lovely framed finish, Terri, and that cupboard is amazing--you always find the best things in your thrifting adventures and I look forward to seeing more posts from you in the future on whatever captures your fancy :)
So glad to see you back. Susan Rambo is stunning! And I love the vintage ornaments you found--I love the ones I have and love to add to that collection, too.
Hi Terri, how wonderful to see your update :) Love your stitching and your ornament find :)
I'm so glad you're back, Teri. Your blog was one of my favorites and still is. Your ornaments remind me of some my mother bought new and still uses. After all the many moves and three children It's a wonder there are any left.
Great to see you back. Your framed stitches look wonderful and I love your little vintage finds, they will add some colour and personality to your tree this year.
Take care.
Love love love your stitching...Susan is beautiful and I love the red frame! That cupboard...OH MY! LOVE IT! Please take pictures of the Christmas you put in it! The ornaments are totally sweet! I've not blogged in ages either...maybe it's time. I do have a couple of nice samplers to show. Always love to see you on FB! Enjoy your Monday off!
So nice to have you back. I agree with your comments about blogging. I think of my blog as a sort of diary. Love Susan Rambo and the Ark projects. The frames are great for them both. Yes I have lots of vintage ornaments. When dad broke up his house, I took all the ornaments, many from the 40's and 50's. I call them treasures from my childhood,
Welcome back!! Love your framed pieces! Those ornaments are beautiful! Love those colors!
WOOHOO!!!! Welcome back Terri! Love Love Love your gorgeous Susan Rambo and her red frame totally shows her off perfectly! Beautiful La-D-Da Ark & the frame you selected looks amazing. Hi Terri,
I am so happy to read from you again - welcom back!
Your framde stitched beauties are amazing - both of them!
Love the vintage ornament - they remind me of Christmasses past (my childhoods christmasses).
I am really looking forward to your future posts to come!
Hugs
Hilda
As always, your post is a welcome read! Beautiful stitching. Some of those ornaments are identical to some from my mom...she gave me and my sister's each a couple of boxes (from our childhood and before) several Christmases back. LOVE THEM! And your cabinet is really cool.
Sherry :o)
I'm still here and I've missed your blog, love everything.... Stitching, ornaments and cupboard
Have fun!!
Gorgeous framed pieces. I love the swirls thing with the frame and ark.
And nice to see you still out there scooping up those vintage treasures! Beautiful ornaments and one great cupboard. I'm remineded of a friend who has a lot of tattoos. I asked her what she would do when her whole body was covered and she said, "Then I'll be done!" I guess your home filled with antiques must be something like that. ;-)
Welcome home to Bloggerville.
So lovely to see your post and your gorgeous stitching! Love that Susan Rambo and the Noah's Ark isn't too shabby neither! You are so lucky to score that cabinet - it is so handsome!
I haven't been stitching since the spring and I'm slowly getting back at it. I have an issue with my neck so stitching is in baby-steps!
I am so glad that you are back posting; I always loved to read your blog. I really like your red frame and the stitched piece - it is beautiful. I like to think "outside the box" when it comes to framing. Your antique ornaments are wonderful as well as the antique bookcase; love it. You mentioned having Beatrix Potter items; I hope that you have seen the movie on CD called "Miss Potter". It is one of my very favorites; if not, you will definitely want to purchase it. I have watched it many, many times and love her interaction with her "characters". It also includes some real photos of Miss Potter and tells about her life, which is very interesting. Hope you like it.
I adore the red frame! Fantastic choice. I also like the vintage ornaments. Nice find!
Welcome back Terri! I missed you. Love your samplers as always. You scored with that pie safe and I do one tree in just vintage silver ornaments. I like how the silver sparkles in the white lights. Janice
Gorgeous Sampler!

Hello terry, I'm so glad to hear from you....all your post is just wonderful with so many goodies :) Thank for beeing with us again :)
wishing you a nice week-end,
Isa
I had to look twice to believe it was really you! Hooray! I have some of those exact Christmas ornaments. Stick around. We miss you.♥
Welcome back, and wow, look at all these comments! You have been missed!
Love those shiny Christmas tree baubles and the amazing display cabinet.
By the way, why do Americans say someone "could care less" about something when we Brits say they "couldn't care less"? I have noticed this in a couple of places!
I have missed you! But your posts never disappoint. Beautiful stitching, great finds! Love the ornaments, they look hand painted. These days though we aren't decorating much at Christmas because we adopted two kittens last year. It will be a while before I risk my old ornaments!
Hope to see another post soon.
So glad you are back, I too missed your blog posts!
It's so good to see you back blogging...I see your photos, on Facebook, etc, but have missed reading your blog posts. Love that sampler!
Your stitching is amazing, as usual. You HAVE been busy stitching! More than I can say, lol. I think my favorite is the Noah's Ark piece-I agree with you about the frame-it's perfect!
First, welcome back!
Gorgeous Sampler and fantastic red frame!
It's GREAT to see you again!!
Love your framed finishes and your vintage ornaments! I don't blog very much myself...have the occasional idea rolling about in my head. I just feel I never have anything interesting to say! You on the on other hand have some pure awesomeness to blog about! 😉
